First, I want to say that I appreciate Tel-A-Runner for setting up this blog site for us runners to connect with one another. I actually started running because my friends were into it. I would train with them regularly, and eventually got “roped” into doing a marathon. In 2005 I ran my first, the SunTrust Richmond Marathon in (you guessed it!) Richmond, VA. I returned once more the following year (my 2nd marathon) and have since dedicated myself to the shorter distances! Hey, I’m only 24! I figure that I have plenty of time to work on the longer distance stuff. Right now, I’m staring down the barrel of my first 10K of the season. After that, a list of triathlon races which span the entire season. Much training to do.
I’ll end with this, my favorite run is when I go out at sunset. The burnt orange sky slowly fading into dark blues and purples somehow helps the day’s stress to evaporate.

Jerry,
So, when are you going to hold a race down there in Mexico?! I will be there! I do love the Caribbean. My in-laws vaca there often – I joined them in St. John last year. Also, I visited Aruba in September while on my honeymoon. It was beautiful, but St. John is way better!
